In order to prevent the noseband from moving and to also ensure that the leather stays clean, the Grackle noseband features a longer leather pad where the straps cross. The metal rings on the noseband are hexagonally shaped to direct the noseband in the correct direction at all times. These rings also rest on leather pads to prevent any rubbing which may occur to the side of the horses face.
